Etsy competitor research across top sellers, sales trends, and shop insights
Etsy competitor research helps you benchmark other sellers using Top Sellers, Competitor Sales, and Shop Insights, so you can learn from shops that already sell in your niche. It is for sellers who want evidence about what works in a market before they shape their own listings. The views draw on live Etsy data through the official Etsy API, and all sales and revenue figures are labeled Estimated, with the method shown.
You can follow Estimated sales over time, compare shops side by side, and look at the listings behind the totals. Use those patterns to shape your own pricing, product range, and listing quality, rather than copying another shop listing by listing.

How it works
Step 1: Browse Top Sellers in a niche or category
Start with the Top Sellers leaderboard and filter it by niche or category to find the shops that matter for your market. The leaderboard orders shops by Estimated sales, so you can see which shops lead the field you are studying. Note the shops that appear consistently, not only the shop at the very top.
Step 2: Follow Competitor Sales over time
Open Competitor Sales for a shop you want to understand and follow its Estimated sales and revenue over time, day by day, with the method shown. Look for steady patterns, rises, and falls, rather than reading one day on its own. Compare the pattern with the shop's listings to see what may sit behind a change.
Step 3: Open Shop Insights and shortlist what to apply
Open Shop Insights for the shops on your shortlist and study their profiles and listings together. Note the price ranges, product styles, and listing patterns that recur across strong shops. Then shortlist only the ideas that fit your own shop, and leave the rest aside.

Why it helps
- Top Sellers gives a leaderboard by Estimated sales, filterable by niche or category, so you start with the shops that matter.
- Competitor Sales follows a competitor's Estimated sales and revenue over time, day by day, with the method shown.
- Shop Insights adds the shop profile behind a total, so a figure is read alongside real listings and prices.
- Every sales and revenue figure is labeled Estimated and never presented as an exact count.
- Listings sit behind each total, so you can see which products support a shop's performance.
Who it is for
New sellers
Study the leading shops in a niche before you build, and learn what product styles and price ranges already sell there.
Active sellers
Benchmark your shop against a shortlist of competitors and spot patterns worth testing in your own listings.
Full time sellers and small teams
Track a set of competitors over time, so market shifts are spotted across several shops rather than one.
Limits and honesty
All competitor sales and revenue figures are estimates, labeled Estimated, and never exact counts. The method behind each estimate is shown in the tool, but an estimate remains an estimate even when it is shown day by day.
Etsy does not publish a competitor's revenue, and this tool shows only public shop and listing information through the official Etsy API. It does not show private orders or buyer details. Check listings and prices manually before you act on a pattern you spot.
Pricing
Every plan includes the full toolkit. Paid plans raise daily limits. Daily limits reset at UTC midnight. See the pricing page for the full table.
